Running at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, Moominvalley in November will take audiences through a gentle, profound, and life-affirming meditation on grief, belonging, and quiet resilience.
The musical is written and composed by Hans Jacob Hoeglund, adapted from the final Moonmin story, Moonminvalley in November, by Tove Jansson. The story follows six characters who arrive in Moominvalley to find the Moomins are absent and take shelter in their home. Each visitor is confronting their own loneliness, fears, or identity struggles, and they slowly learn to find comfort and connection with one another.
