Amanda Hurwitz

Amanda is an Irish actress with experience across stage and screen.

She can most recently be seen Auntie Cath in comedy series Rosie Malloy Gives Up Everything for Sky, and can be seen as Mary in upcoming BBC comedy series Funboys. 

Her screen credits include Deidre in Woman on the Verge (UKTV), Maeve in Derry Girls (Channel 4), as well as roles in Doctors (BBC), Holby City (BBC), 99, A Hundred (Channel 4), Holy Cross (BBC), and Breed of Heroes (BBC). Amanda’s film credits include Batman (Warner Bros), Mary in Wildfire (Amazon Prime), Mary Ellen in Whole Lotta Sole (Apple TV), and Lorraine in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang (Pagoda Films).

Amanda’s stage credits include Mrs Dollop in The Great Middlemarch Mystery (Dash Arts), Vera in Women on the Verge of HRT (Derby Theatre & Hull Truck), Constance in Caught Red Handed (Belfast Tinderbox), Marianne in Faithfull (Glasgow Citizens), Judith/Amanda in the Jewish Wife/The Jewish Daughter (New End Theatre), Ruby in The Hidden Curriculum (Lyric, Belfast), and Dolly in The Steamy (Arts Theatre Belfast).

Amanda has also recorded for radio, most recently for Big Finish’s Doctor Who series, having recorded with them before as well as with the BBC.
