Manuel Pacific joins the cast of A Chorus Line as Paul San Marco on their UK Tour.
New York City. 1975. On an empty Broadway stage, seventeen performers are put through their paces in the final, gruelling audition for a new Broadway musical. Only eight will make the cut.
A Chorus Line is a musical masterpiece that revolutionised Broadway, with creator Michael Bennett using real-life testimonies from late-night recording sessions with dancers. Celebrate the lives of theatre’s unsung heroes, as they tell searing stories of ambition, shattered hopes, and what it really costs to follow your dreams.
The show will play at the Curve Theatre from 28th June and Sadler’s Wells before embarking on the rest of their UK Tour.
Reviews for Manuel:
“Manuel Pacific reduces the audience to tears with Paul’s shattering monologue.” – London Theatre
“A fascinatingly twitchy Manuel Pacific (…) breathes fresh life into a raw, risky dramatic monologue that stops the music to bare one misfit’s soul.” – The Telegraph
“Foster’s most impressive coup is, with Manuel Pacific, turning Paul’s story of gay shame into something defiant.” – The Stage
“Manuel Pacific’s Paul performs a monologue about overcoming his femininity – an essay on toxic masculinity before that was even a thing. As Pacific speaks, the audience is in reverential silence.” – Buzz Magazine
