Miguel is an award-winning Portuguese actor.
He won a Portuguese Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Fiction for his lead role in Netflix series Glória. He can be currently be seen in feature film Maria Vitória which premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and is filming an NDA’d Disney+ series coming out next year.
Miguel is also known for his work on the critically acclaimed drama Letters From War (nom. Best Leading Actor – Silver Bear Award), and Pablo in Cisne (won Best Young Actor Award – Lisbon and Estoril Film Festival). Other work in recent years includes lead Miguel in drama O Melhor dos Mundos, lead Pedro in Dentro, Rodrigo in Codex 632, Alberto Caeiro in Nothingness Club, Coriolano in The Art Of Dying Away, Afonso in Na Corda Bamba, Pedro Vasconcelos in Caldas: El ultimo barco (Secuoya Studios) and Ernesto in Finisterra (Take It Easy).
In 2017 he made his directorial debut with You See The Moon, and and took part in the Portuguese Strictly Come Dancing in 2025.
Miguel is also a prolific stage actor and has many credits in his native Portugal.
