Jem Wall is directing an immersive version of George Orwell's 1984 at Hackney Town Hall. 

Jem was asked alongside Richard Hahlo to direct this new immersive piece because of the work they have created with their theatre company Hydrocracker. 

The new immersive version of piece, is adapted for the stage by Adam Taub, who said today: “In the era of Google, Amazon and Meta, when our every move is monitored and recorded, there is no more relevant story than 1984.” (Whats On Stage)
